Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Solicitor to join their expanding dispute resolution department. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad and engaging caseload while supporting both business and individual clients through a wide range of contentious matters.

Role Responsibilities

In this position, you will take responsibility for managing litigation matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, covering a diverse mix of cases such as corporate and shareholder conflicts, partnership breakdowns, contract disputes, property-related claims (commercial and residential), boundary and neighbour issues, disputes involving trusts and estates, professional negligence, debt enforcement, possession proceedings, insolvency matters, as well as claims relating to nuisance, harassment, and defamation.

Your duties will include:

  • Running your own caseload of civil and commercial litigation files end-to-end
  • Preparing and reviewing key legal documents including pleadings, defences, disclosure bundles, witness evidence, and settlement agreements
  • Advising clients on dispute resolution options, including negotiation, mediation, and other ADR methods
  • Attending hearings and providing advocacy where appropriately qualified, as well as briefing counsel when required
  • Ensuring full compliance with procedural rules, court timetables, and regulatory obligations under the CPR
  • Maintaining well-organised and compliant case files in line with firm and regulatory standards
  • Developing strong client relationships and contributing to networking and business development initiatives as required

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a valid SRA practising certificate, or a Chartered Legal Executive (Litigation/Civil Litigation)
  • Either newly qualified with at least 2 years’ post-qualification litigation experience, or a more senior lawyer with around 5–6 years’ PQE (two positions may be available)
  • Confident in applying the Civil Procedure Rules and managing litigation processes independently
  • A strong communicator with excellent drafting, analytical, and (where applicable) advocacy skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Commercially aware with a strong focus on client service
  • A team player who is also willing to support and mentor junior colleagues
  • Committed to maintaining high professional and ethical standards in line with SRA/CILEX requirements

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive remuneration package
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
  • Parking permit provided where applicable
  • Ongoing professional development and support to maintain compliance with continuing competence requirements
  • A clear pathway for career progression within a growing team
